Resettlement

After the evacuation from Vietnam at the end of the Vietnam War on April 30, 1975 Vietnamese refugees then were transported to several military installments around the country, Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania, Camp Pendleton in Southern California, Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and Fort Cheffee in Arkasas. These refugee camps were temporary home until being sponsored by local community organizations.
